the Digest Safety Net (DSN)
last updated April 7, 2006
home DSN archives links member resources FAQ posting guidelines about us

The Digest Safety Net (DSN) is a source for advice and help in addition to that available via the GPDD. Use the DSN when you need an immediate answer to an important question.*

Special note: when you write to a DSN member for help, please make sure that you put "DSN HELP" in the subject line of your email. A lot of folks have very busy email accounts, and it will make easy to spot urgent messages. Thanks.

Important Disclaimer: No one on this list claims to be a vet.
This list is not a substitute for quality veterinary care!

Click here for a plain text version of the DSN.

Please note:
If you need emergency advice, please make sure that the person you ask has the ambulance icon Sudden illness/accidents in their specialties -
some of us do not check our mail every day and time is of the essence in a guinea pig emergency.

If your pig is bleeding from anywhere, making any kind of noise when it breathes, seems to be in pain,
cannot/will not eat or cannot/will not drink, you should contact a vet immediately.
